2 Year Old Ryleigh

Ryleigh I can't believe you're almost 3 years old! It feels just like yesterday you were born. So that I don't forget what you were like at this age I've decided to write down what you're like right now

• You are talking up a storm! You are able to speak very clearly and in complete sentences. Sometimes some of the things you say amaze me like:
• "I have plenty Mama."
• "They don't have any either."
• Sometime after Christmas went I asked if you'd like a brother or sister you said, "I want 2 brothers Mama." Then sometime later you said, "I want 2 brothers and 2 sisters." 
• "What time is it?" "No it's 8:00"
• After being in the pool one time you said, "Feel my fingers Mama they're soft."
• While watching Veggie Tales you said in a really sad voice, "Mama they don't have arms!" but then shortly said, "I have arms, you have arms, Daddy has arms..." and proceeded to name everyone you know. 
• While watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse you said, "Mickey doesn't have a shirt on! That silly goose! He needs a shirt on!"

           You crack me up!

• You are a VERY picky eater! You're more of a snacker than eating a real meal. Some of your favorite food right now are:
• Mac & Cheese
• Chicken Nuggets
• Ketchup (yep you like to eat it with a fork)
• pretzels
• cheese crackers 
• gold fish
• teddy graham crackers
• cereal (Special K)
• Strawberries
• Yogurt

• You don't watch TV shows but you love to watch DVDs. You even know how to put one in the DVD player and switch them out. Some of your favorite ones right now are:
• Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
• Barney
• Veggie Tales
• All the Toy Story Movies
• Sesame Street Movies

• Some of your favorite activities include:
• Swimming
• Jumping on the trampoline
• Reading books
• Coloring with markers
• Watercolors
• Writing with a pen
• Dancing around to music

• You know your ABC's
• You can count to 20
• You know all your colors
• You can recognize 20 letters of the alphabet
• You like to sign with Mama in the car to songs
• You can sign some of your ABCs
• You have a very good memory and can talk about things that happened last year.
• At bed time you like to be rocked and sung too. Mommy has to sing "Mary had a Little Lamb" and Jesus Loves Me." (I'm not sure what Daddy's songs are)
• You are never able to give a hug without a kiss "Hug and Kiss, Hug and Kiss" is what you'll say if you don't get both, especially at bed time. 
• You love being outside.
• You love to go places. Some mornings you'll ask me "Where we going today Mama?" When I tell you you'll answer with "Where we go after that?"

You're 3rd birthday is almost here! I'm sure I'll think of more things before then and I'll add them to the list. I love you sweetie! Try not to grow up too fast. I'm enjoying the sweet moments with you right now.
