Reese Emerson - 3 Months!

Happy 3 Months Reese! I know I say this every month but I can't believe it! You spent today just with me snuggling on the couch sleeping on my chest like you did when you were born. We haven't been able to sit down and have one on one time in a long time. I loved it! You still love sleeping on your tummy on some one's chest.

You are smiling more and more each day and laughing out loud all the time. The morning time is the best time to get you to smile or laugh.

Sometimes when you cry it sounds like your saying "Mama" it's pretty funny.

You're still getting a hang of holding up your head. We still call you our little bobble head. Other nick names we have for you are Reese's Pieces and Bubbles.

Some other things you are doing are:
- stand when someone holds you up
- eating your hand
- trying to roll over

Your started screaming and crying last week for a few nights and we could figure out why. I took you to the doctor last Monday and she couldn't find anything wrong. We ended up finding out that you were constipated. Now you're all better.

Now you:
-are still wearing size 1 diapers but soon moving up to size 2
- are still wearing size 3 month clothes some 3-6 months
-you eat 4.5 oz of breast milk
-you are taking naps in your bed more on a regular schedule
-weigh 12 lbs
-you're still eating every 4-5 hours
-sleeping longer at night between feedings

You are a morning person and sleeping great! You slept through the night for 13 hours on Saturday, July 21st.

Today you found your tongue!

We love you to pieces Reese and look forward to what you learn to do this month!

Surprise Sha Sha! Go Team USA!!

Last Saturday we threw a surprise party for my mother in law, Shannon aka Sha Sha. She is going to the Olympics as an Open Water Swim Coach. She's been a USA swim coach for awhile and was an alternate in the 1984 Olympics but this is her first time to go as a coach. We are all so proud of her and wanted to show her love and support by throwing this party.

She was really surprised! We pulled is off without anyone spilling the beans! She thought she was going out to eat dinner with her husband and meeting up with her parents but little did she know there was a banquet room at the Yucatan Beach Club filled with her closest family and friends ready to yell SURPRISE!

She walked in with a big smile on her face pointing to people saying "You, You!" Her son even surprised her by flying in from California.

Letters from Frank Labarba, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Governor Rick Perry, her Principal at Marcus High School, acknowledging her accomplishment were sent to her and read once she came in.

This was another surprise for her that moved her to tears.

We even had shirts made just for the party! We had a lot of fun and wish her all the best in London. GO TEAM USA!

Silly Sisters

These are random cute pictures I have of the girls that were taken over the past few weeks.

This is Ryleigh wearing the "Shirley Temple" dress my mom wore when she was a girl. She loves wearing it and playing the piano out at their house.

My Reeses Pieces is all smiles now!

What a sweet face.

Laughing at me.

This morning Ryleigh enjoyed reading books to Reese.

Then later helped feed her. She's such a great big sister  and a great helper for me.

Our "Mini Reeses"

Big Sister Little Sister

Ryleigh loves to help her little sister out when she's fussy and will talk/sing to her.

Siting up in the bath now. Just hanging out.

She loves her baths! This is the only thing that calms her down when she has screaming/crying fits.

We sure are blessed with the sweetest girls.
