Pig Tails and Ariel

I wanted to get a picture of how cute her pig tails were and she insisted that "Barbie" (aka Ariel) in the photo too.

I can't believe how much you've grown up just in the past few weeks and that you're almost 3! You'll always be my little girl now matter how big you get.

Swimming Lessons with Sha Sha

Today was Ryleigh's first swimming lesson with her Sha Sha for this year. Last year she learned how to "make a boat" and kick her legs with her face in the water. This year she's learning to use her arms, swim across the pool and how to get out of the pool on the side of the pool.

We met Sha Sha at her house and used one of her community pools. I sat in the car and watched a little bit from a distance. The lesson lasted for about 30 minutes. When there was about 5 minutes left. I hid on the side of the building to get some pictures and video of her in action!

This picture you can see her arms reaching up for the side of the pool.

Here she's pulling herself up.

Tada!
This will help her if she ever falls in a pool she'll know how to get out.

Jumping in the pool

She's got her head down and is ready to swim across the pool.

Kick Kick Kick!

Look at that splash! She's really kicking and using her arms! I'm so proud of her!

"I love my Sha Sha!"

Now she gets a "Dumb Dumb" sucker for being such a good girl.

Sha Sha also had her "diving" for rings on the steps. She wasn't going down too far into the water but it helps her get the idea. Ryleigh had a great time! After her lesson we went to Gramz and Papa's pool where she showed off her mad skills. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her. You might be looking at a future USA Swimmer!

Summer fun at Gramz and Papa's

These are some pictures of Ryleigh out at Gramz and Papa's house that I forgot to post earlier.

This was the start of the second week of summer. Ryleigh was playing with her Croquet set or "Golf" as she calls it.

It was very hot that day!

Wearing Papa's hat

 Relaxing in the hammock!

These were actually taken on May 14. It was a little cold that day.
Hitting the ball around with Papa. This was the weekend she saw the tractor at the neighbor's house and decided she wanted one too.

Swimming Fun with Cousin Micah

Yesterday afternoon we went over to Aunt Pat and Uncle Larry's house to swim with Cousin Micah, Stacy (Aunt C) and Aunt Diana.

Before we left Ryleigh insisted that I take a picture of her with her new "Barbie" (Ariel doll).
(I think she's finally use to me taking pictures of everything now so I can post it on the blog)

I believe that looks like RED HAIR!!

Having fun on the steps of the pool.

This was my favorite photo of Micah! Having fun with his Aunt C's glasses.

"I love my cousin Micah!"

"I had fun Mommy."

The pool was nice and warm on such a hot summer day. It was the first saltwater pool I'd been in. I really liked it and so did Ryleigh. When she saw this photo she said "I want to go do that again."

Saying goodbye and giving kisses. It will probably be October before they see each other again.

First Time at the Nail Salon

Today I took Ryleigh to get her toes painted at a nail salon close to our house. She has always loved to get her nails painted at home so I thought this might be a fun experience for her.

She sat in my lap while I got a pedicure and she got her toes and fingernails painted.

Getting her toes painted red!

Look at our pretty feet!

All ready for the 4th of July with stars on her toes!

While mommy waited for the wax to dry on her feet the lady painted Ryleigh's nails red too.

Waiting for our nails to dry under the lights.

I had originally made an appointment at another salon for 10:00. But by 10:15 they hadn't even opened. Another lady waiting told me they never open on time and that there was a new place by Kroger. So we went over there. The place was very nice! We both had a good time.

Pool at Gramz and Papa's

Gramz and Papa bought a pool for their backyard, but before they could put it up they needed to level out the ground.

This is before the ground was level.

This was yesterday while the pool was filling up with water.

Today, the pool is full of water and Ryleigh is ready to put the toys in the water.

Yea!

She was scared to get in at first because of how tall the pool was. But once she got in she LOVED it!

It's just the right depth for swimming and have a fun time in the pool. Ryleigh floated around on a raft my mom bought and was swimming back and forth from my mom and I.
