The Monster Mile

Every year Ryleigh does the Monster Mile at her PawPaw and Sha Sha house with her cousins, Kaileigh and Caleb.

In the past years she didn't want to go up to the characters but this year she did!
Here they are ready to get some candy!

Giving Superman a High Five.

With Belle

and Cinderella!

Pooh!

Spiderman

Even Yo Gabba Gabba! I love the look on her face in this one!

She said that Hello Kitty was her favorite.

Halloween 2011 - My Little Tinkerbell

This year for Halloween Ryleigh wanted to be Tinkerbell.
She was able to wear it to school on Friday for their Halloween party and Trick or Treating around the school. Then she wore it on Saturday to the Monster Mile at PawPaw and Sha Sha's. She was also able to wear it to Dance class since her class actually falls on Halloween. (Since she's home sick from school today she'll just wear it around the house while helping give out the candy to trick or treaters)

Here are some photos taken this weekend at Gramz and Papa's house of her in her costume before heading to the Monster Mile.

When I came home with the costume a few weeks ago she "flew" around the house with her wings on! The shoes light up when she walks! She had a lot of fun being Tinkerbell.

Carved Pumpkins

Last week we bought two pumpkins for Daddy to carve. We bought a pumpkin carving book that came with tools and plans for different things you can carve in the pumpkins. We gave the book to Ryleigh and told her to pick on out. Of course she chose the most difficult one, the haunted house, or the "Castle" is what she called it. We talked her into letting daddy carve a Mickey pumpkin instead. Which I think came out pretty good for not having a templet for!

So after two nights of carving here are the pumpkins!

Here she is with the "ghosty ghosts" (this is how she referred to it)

Here she is with the Mickey Pumpkin!

You can't see her too well in these but you can see the pumpkins better all lit up.

She's had us light these every morning and afternoon when we get home from school! She's really enjoyed them.

Texas Rangers Family Car Stickers

Rider     Ryleigh     Daddy    Mommy    Baby #2    Snowball

I've seen family stickers like this on people's cars before but never Texas Rangers. So this weekend after searching on Google I finally found some! I'm so excited they came in today. They don't have a pregnant woman so I had to pick one for the baby. Ryleigh liked the stroller.

I bought the large pack so we can add more members to the family and change the baby to a kid when he/she gets bigger.

Too bad tonight's game has been postponed till tomorrow night.

Go Rangers!

Pumpkin Patch with Gramz and Papa

Saturday while Mommy and Daddy were at work Ryleigh spent the day with Gramz and Papa at the pumpkin patch!

She was hesitant to get on the pile of pumpkins.

She had fun on the barrel tractor ride!

Feeding the goats!

Before going to the pumpkin patch Gramz took Ryleigh to the popcorn/candy shop on the square and got some photos.

After a long day without a nap and a tummy full of candy she passed out on the way home.

11 Weeks - The Baby's Room is Ready

I saw this cute idea of taking the bump pictures with the older sibling holding a sign with what week the mom is on. Ryleigh was excited to be in the picture this time.
We've got Rangers Pride! Go Rangers!
I hope they can win the game tonight.

So we finally got some time to put together the baby's room today.
 Here are some before photos:

While we were at Walmart today I grabbed a package of Size 1 diapers. Brandon asked me if I had any newborn diapers. I laughed and said I've got just as many newborns as size 1 diapers thanks to coupons and great deals at CVS this summer.
Here's a view of just how many diapers we have so far.

And here's the finished product. There are still some finishing touches to be done but I'm just glad to get  everything out of the boxes!

Ryleigh wanted to be in the pictures too!

She had fun playing with all the animals.

A very excited big sister! She's already said she wants to sing to the baby.

Once the mattress for Ryleigh's bed comes in we'll be putting her big girl bed together!

The State Fair of Texas

Saturday, October 15 we took Ryleigh to The State Fair of Texas for the first time and of course all three wearing our Texas Rangers shirts!

She was excited to ride the ferris wheel and see all the animals. We could see the ferris wheel when we drove up and that was all she wanted to do as soon as we got there. Next she wanted to see Big Tex. I was afraid she was going to be scared of him since he's so tall and talks but she loved it!

We ended up parking buy the animals so we started there. She liked seeing all the horses and finding out their names.

I tried to get her to stand by the large turkey to take a photo but she was a little scared of it.

Here's the big stinky pig we saw

She thought the rooster and chickens were funny.

Next she got to help out on the "Little Hands Farm."
She got her own apron and basket then went through the farm "feeding" the animals and "harvesting" crops.

Here she is giving corn to the cows.

Riding the John Deere Tractor. It was a little harder to petal this one than riding the electric tractor at Papa and Gramz house.

 "I'm a cow, Mama!"

Waiting in line for to ride the ferris wheel. She got camera shy.

Finally inside and excited to go up and see everything.

After the ferris wheel we were hungary so we hit up our favorite food stands; alligator k-bob and funnel cake. They just happen to be right next to each other and right by Big Tex.

After walking around for 3 hours we were all tired but since we still had some coupons left we couldn't waste them. When we asked Ryleigh want she wanted to eat now she said "a popsicle!" So here she is sitting in the shade enjoying her popsicle. She was so sweet while eating she said both of us if we would like some.

On our way out we passed the horses again and she asked to see them one more time. This time she was able to pet Vern. (Her owner was in the cage so it was ok)

We were both surprised she was willing to pet the horse!

We had a great time at the fair! I think this will be something we continue to do each year just like we did when we were in high school. That night we went home watched the Rangers beat the Tigers! World Series 2011!! Go Rangers!
