Reese I can't believe it's already been one month! It feels like it was just yesterday that I was meeting you for the first time. So much happened this first month that made it go by faster than I wanted it two.
-When you were just a week old I had surgery that caused me to be away from you for 4 days.
-You had you first sleep over at Gramz and Papa's while I was in the hospital
-At two weeks we celebrated my first Mother's Day with you.
-Two days later you stayed at Gramz and Papa's again because I went back into the hospital for a kidney infection.
-You've been out to eat with the family at Chili's (our regular eating spot) a couple of times.
-You've been to the grocery store
-You went to Ryleigh's allergy appointment
- You've been to the Doctor's three times for 1.) your jaundice check up 2.) one week check up 3.) your problems with constipation
-You had your first x-ray on Monday to see why you're having problems going to the bathroom.
You started smiling this week!
I love your facial expressions! My favorite you do is when you're waking up you make an "O" with your lips and wrinkle your forehead all while making the cutest little noise.
When you're awake you like to play in your baby gym on our back and sometimes for a little tummy time. You also look around to see what's going on around you especially when you hear people's voices. You love having you head and or back rubbed it puts you to sleep.
When you were born you:
- could wear preemie diapers and clothes
-you were eating about an oz of breast milk
-sleeping all the time
-weighted 6 lbs 14 oz
-you were waking up every hour to ear at night so we started feeding you milk in the bottle so we knew how much you were eating. After we did that you started eating on schedule so Mommy and Daddy could get a little more sleep.
Now you:
-are wearing newborn sized diapers and clothes
-you eat about 2 oz to 2.5 oz of breast milk
-you are awake a little more during the day
-weigh 8 lbs 2 oz
-you're still eating every 2-3 hours
-you're waking up every 2-3 hours between feedings at night and
-lately you're having problems pooping that's caused some discomfort during the night sometimes. We're hoping this clears up in the next week or the Doctor wants to send you to a specialist.
You're big sister is just as in love with you as we are. She asks everyday to hold you and loves giving you kisses. She can't wait for you to get bigger so she can really play with you.
Big Sister wanted to take a picture of you too!
I look forward to seeing how much you change as you continue to grow! I love you sweet girl. I may have gone through a lot of pain and surgeries to get you here but it was defiantly all worth it!
