This year I wrapped 24 of Ryleigh's books to put under her tree and each day (starting on December 1) she will unwrap one to read at bedtime.
She was so excited to open the first book.
I found it ironic that her first book was the story of what Christmas is really all about.
While Daddy was reading the story and he was explaining who every one was and that each Christmas is Jesus' birthday she asked "Where's his birthday cake?" Daddy reassured her that Mommy would be baking his cake on Christmas eve.
After she opened her book and placed it on her pillow for bedtime we placed the first ornament on the tree.
She wanted to put the nutcracker on first.
This was mine when I was a little girl. I still remember getting excited each day when I got to put another ornament on the tree.
She is having so much fun getting ready for Christmas this year. Everyday we watch a different Christmas movie that we have. So far this years favorites have been:
"The Santa Claus"
"The Santa Claus 2"
"Charlie Brown Christmas"
"The Chipmunks Christmas Movie"
"White Christmas"
"All I Want for Christmas" (This was all she would watch last year)
"Mickey's Christmas Carol"
I can't wait to see her face on Christmas morning. Last year's was priceless!
