Raising Ryleigh & Reese: Our Love Story

5 years ago today I married my high school sweetheart! Our lives became one on July 7, 2007 but our love story started on September 23, 2000 at Clint Black concert!

Junior year Brandon and I went to a Clint Black concert with some of his friends. That night we "made it official" we were boyfriend/girlfriend. For the next two years we were like any other typical teenager and were on again off again with our relationship. Just before Senior Prom we broke up and went to college and didn't see or talk to each other for 4 years. Then one day on July 2, 2006 I sent him a message on MySpace. We ended up meeting for the first time for a date on July 16, 2006. This was the first time we'd seen each other in 4 years but that first look at each other was all it took for us to know that we would never let the other one go ever again! On September 23, 2006 he proposed and on July 7, 2007 we were married.

What's really neat about us getting married on 7-7-07 is that since high school I'd said I wanted to get married that day since it was God's perfect number (777). Just the day before I messaged him on MySpace a friend and I were discussing how we didn't have boyfriends and wanted to get married but didn't see it happening on my dream day. Well God knew what he was doing and I believe it was Him that brought us back together forever.

Now we've been married for 5 years and have 2 beautiful girls! We've built our first home together in 2009. And both survived my difficult pregnancy with Reese. We've had good times and bad times but at the end of the day I'm thankful that God brought Brandon back into my life!

We've always wanted to go back to another Clint Black concert but he hasn't been touring around here, till this year! On September 1 we're going to his concert in Mesquite. Which is funny because we grew up in Mesquite!
