Emma's 4th birthday party

Saturday, February 23 Ryleigh went to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate her friend, Emma's, birthday.  She had a lot of fun playing the games and climbing around.

First Purchase

After saving her allowance for a few weeks and thanks to the money she got in her valentines cards Ryleigh made her first purchase!

Thanks to a sweet friend Ryleigh got this great chair from Pottery Barn Kids. She had received an extra chair when she ordered them for her boys and offered the extra one to Ryleigh. All we had to buy was the chair cover! I decided to just put an "R" so both girls can use it and Ryleigh picked the butterfly. She loves it!

Reese was pooped after an evening out with Mommy and Daddy's friends. (She had literally pooped out of her clothes and had to borrow those PJs from out friends)

Reese got strep this month for the first time on Feb. 26. 

My Little Valentines!

The night before Valentine's Day I set out the girls gifts for them so they'd see them in the morning. 

Reese woke up first and I gave showed her her gifts. When Ryleigh woke up she saw that Reese was playing with a new book and where she got it. When I told her it was her Valentine's present she went looking around the house for hers.  

She was so happy to get a Pinkalcious Valentine book and a monkey that she named Andler. "Not Chandler mommy ANDLER."

Ready for school! Ryleigh was excited for the party they were going to have at school that afternoon.

Sister Secrets

The other night while the girls were taking a bath Ryleigh gave Reese a puppet show with the bath mitts

Next Ryleigh leaned over to Reese and said, "I have a secret to tell you." 

Reese thought this was so funny and laughed every time Ryleigh leaned over and whispered something in her ear. I'm sure it tickled in her ear, but it was so sweet!

2011 Yearbook!!

We received our 2011 yearbook in the mail this morning! So excited about it! I'm currently working on our 2012 yearbook.

We'll Miss You

Last week one of Reese's former teachers, Ms. Lucille, was placed in ICU at Centennial Medical Center. Then this weekend she was taken off life support and went up to heaven. It happened so fast! Just the week before she was laughing and joking around with Ryleigh. I still remember the last time she got her morning hug. Ryleigh loved visiting with Reese's teachers and even though Reese moved rooms Ryleigh still loved to stop by and say Hi! Today she went in the room looking for her. So this afternoon I had to explain to her where Ms. Lucille is now and that we'll see her again someday when we go up to heaven. She stopped and prayed and asked for Ms. Lucille to fell better.

I'm so glad I was able to get a picture of Reese with Ms. Lucille. We'll miss you!

We also found out today that another one of Reese's former teachers is in the hospital. We're praying that Ms. Nina feels better soon! It's so sad! These ladies were so sweet and wonderful caretakers while Reese was in their room. Ms. Lucille always called Reese her Reeesy-Cup and she always will be. 

First Allowance!

This past week we held Ryleigh to a higher standard when it came to her chores around the house because we offered her and allowance. She's been excited all week to get her $1.00. She's learning to save her money for what she really wants and how to manage money. She was so excited all week doing her chores and helping out so she could get her allowance.

Goodbye Pump

I start winging myself off the breast pump a few weeks ago and pumped for the last time on January 23! It's had it's own place on our counter in the kitchen for the past 9 months along with a chiar for me to sit on while pumping. I'm glad I was able to nurse Reese just as long as I did Ryleigh and freeze as much milk as I did. When she was born I was still in and out of the hospital but I was determined to bring my pump so Reese could have breast milk in her first few months of growing.

It's sad to see it get packed up because I don't know if we'll have any more kids for me to nurse. I'm also glad to be done pumping because it takes up so much of my time at home, work and sleeping at night. There were many times I had to pump and Reese would start crying, but Ryleigh was great about helping me out and making her happy. There were even times when I was pumping and holding the bottle in Reese's mouth. (After a few months of nursing she started just taking the bottle) I've defiantly got down the multi-tasking thing.

I'm Finally Finished!!!

I've been working on my 2011 blog book for over a year and tonight I FINALLY finished it!!! Now, I know I need to stay on top of converting my blog into a book each year. It's now Jan 2013 and I haven't stared my 2012 book. My goal is to finish my 2012 book by this summer!! This way I can stay on top of my 2013 book and from now on. I'm going to need quite a few mommy days to get caught up! I'm sure Brandon will help me with this. Each time he goes playing golf the next day I'll use as my mommy day to make the book!
