The Polar Express

Last Saturday week took the girls to the Polar Express in Grapevine. They wore their PJs, rode The Polar Express to the North Pole and saw Santa!
Here's the girls before loading the train.

Walking through the winter wonderland of snow and trees to get to the train. It didn't feel quite like Christmas that day because it was 80 degrees!

Reese with her ticket

and Ryleigh with hers!

On the train and ready to go!

Mrs. Claus came around and visited with the kids.

Then Santa!

Here's Ryleigh with her bell that Santa gave her. Now every morning she wants me to ring the bell to wake her up.

Ear Infection

Sunday Reese's fever came back and was very fussy and crying all day. I knew something wasn't right and thought it was an ear infection the way she was acting. Well, I was right. Monday I took her to the doctor with fever of 101.1 the highest she's had yet and the doctor confirmed she had an infection in both ears.

Brandon was going to stay home with her on Tuesday so he needed to stay late at work. Which meant he wouldn't be able to pick Ryleigh up from gymnastics. Instead of sitting up at WOGA for and hour and a half with a sick baby I called and got Ryleigh on the list for a makeup day and stayed home with them.

Reese started feeling a little better last night and was playing with Spin Spin a Letter.

Pinterest Inspired Ginn Baby Shower

This past Saturday I gave my friend Allison a baby shower. She's expecting a baby girl, Ainsley Tate Ginn. Who is due on January 19!

Just about everything I did for the shower I found off Pinterest! Here are some of the things I found to make the day special for her. Just click the link to go to the web page.

Hot Prego Mama!

She was blessed with so many presents!

Here she is pulling out the charms that match with a prayer specially written for her. I got this idea from my cousin's baby shower. There were several charms that matched with a Bible verse then a prayer was written for them. Everyone was able to read a different prayer out loud. The charms were: heart, Bible, Carriage, Butterfly, Church, Flip flops, Cross, Moon and Stars, Pacifier, Train, Lighthouse and Grapes. After everyone read their pray that was prepared for them I put them in a scrapbook so she will always have them.

Here are pictures of everyone reading their prayer.
