Rock N Roll 13.1

My new years resolution was to run a half marathon. So I signed up for a training group with Luke's Locker. I felt good and was excited for the race. I was doing good but then around mile 10 my legs cramped up. My right knee and both ankles where in pain! But I was determined to finish. I did finish in exactly 3 hours. My goal was 2 hours and 30 minutes. So I was determined to find another race to run and run it better than this one. There's a race coming up on April 19 in McKinney I was hoping to run but my left ankle continued to give me trouble after this race even though I rested it for a week. I went to a foot doctor and it turns out I have tendinitis of the ankle. I was afraid I messed up something since I continued to run while in pain. The day after the race my left ankle was swollen and I couldn't walk on it. My students went to the nurse through out the day to get me ice. Now I have to wear a boot on my left foot so I can rest my ankle and hopefully get back to running soon! I really want to run the 13.1 race in September and then run a full 26.2 marathon next year!
