Since we were spending New Year's Eve with the girls I thought it would be fun to have kid activities to do through out the day kind of like a count down to midnight. I got the idea off Pinterest to put the activity in the balloon and every hour pop it to see what the next activity would be. Some of them seemed to be more for Ryleigh than others. (I made note of that for next year.) Here's our count down till 2013!
1:00 - "originally the activity was to take a walk and ride your bike", but it was very cold and raining so we changed to to "take a bubble bath". Normally she loves taking a bath but today she didn't really care for it. She stayed in the tub maybe 10 minutes.
2:00- Make Cookies!
Ryleigh loves making chocolate chip cookies!
3:00- Play Balloon Volleyball
We played several games with the balloons.
She even colored on the balloons. This kept her busy for awhile. She loves to color!
Reese took a nice long nap and was very happy when she woke up.
Go Rangers!
Here Ryleigh got ready to take the neighbors some cookies we just made. She was excited to say "Happy New Year's Eve" to them!
4:00- Drink Cocoa
At the time I made this Ryleigh said she wanted to try cocoa but when she popped the balloon and read was she was supposed to do she didn't want cocoa. So I made her a "special drink"
5:00 - Sing a Song, we cranked up her favorite songs and sang and dance around the living room.
6:00- Play Dance Now
7:00- Pop Poppers!
We went on the back porch to pop the poppers.
8:00 - Call the Grandparents
I think Ryleigh thought the faster I finish these calls the faster I'll get to pop the next balloon because she barley spent anytime on the phone. Just long enough to say "Happy New Year's Eve" and why she was calling then click on to the next one. Silly girl!
9:00 - Play a board game. She picked Memory for us to play. It was lots of fun!
10:00 - Make Snowflakes. She was so excited about this one. We used coffee filters to make snowflakes then taped them to the windows at the front of the house. The next morning she still wanted to make more snowflakes.
11:00 - Read a book in front of the fire.
After we read a book Brandon and Ryleigh went out back to shot off the poppers.

Even thought the balloon said it was 12:00 it was really 10:00. We started the balloons at 11:00 so we would go to bed at 10:00. When she gets older we'll let her stay up to the real time of midnight.

Mommy goes on medical leave and has nephrostomy tube inserted in left kidney.
March:
Ryleigh goes to Destin with Paw Paw and Sha Sha
Daddy has surgery
Mommy has two more surgeries this month
April:
Daddy and Sha Sha go to Rangers Opening Day while Mommy has anther surgery
Ryleigh goes to the Teddy Bear Camp at the hospital
Reese Emerson Gillespy is born 4/23/12
May:
Mommy has surgery to remove stint then a week later goes back to the ER.
Mommy is finally free of the nephrostmy tube!
June:
Ryleigh has her first Dance Recital
Have several swim play dates with friends
Go to the Rangers Game for Mommy's birthday.
July:
Mommy and Daddy celebrate their 5 year anniversary!
Sha Sha goes to London for the Olympics
August:
Mommy goes back to work for the first time since February
Reese starts daycare for the first time
Ryleigh starts Pre-K
Ryleigh starts gymnastics
September:
Mommy and Daddy go to the Clint Black Concert
Reese is dedicated at church
10 year high school reunion
Ryleigh turns 4
October:
Mommy's students sign the Star Spangled Banner at the Homecoming Game
November:
Ryleigh has her first Open House Gymnastics Meet
Mommy and Gramz have a "Twilight" marathon before going to see "Breaking Dawn 2"
Reese visits Santa for the first time
Gramz puts on her musical at school
December:
We celebrate Christmas 5 times: Warren Family, Cox Family, Kean/Nicks Family, Gillespy Family then Christmas morning with Mommy and Daddy.
Mommy says, "Screw you 2012! Here's to no surgeries in 2013!"
